Hello! The book has long since been removed from my website; instead you can find a portion of the book on FamilySearch, attached to Auguste Pauline Worbs. Select "Memories", and in the "Documents" area, select "The Kowallis Family History".
In the early 1980s, Richard Kowallis, grandson of Pauline, bought a personal computer. He created his own genelogical software to track the descendands of Pauline, and with it, he attached stories and personal histories that many living relatives submitted. His computer program generated a book, in WordStar format. He printed copies and gave them to relatives.
In 1999 as an enthusiastic young graduate in computer science, I wanted to share his work on the Internet. I wrote a perl script to convert the WordStar-formatted book into basic HTML, and with his permission, shared it on my website. Unfortunately, I hadn't taken the time to read beyond the first chapters, and so I didn't realize that it also contained personal information that living relatives didn't want shared on the Internet. Apparently, Richard had forgotten as well. I removed the content and kept the table of contents. In 2022, Richard passed away. His legacy lives on.
